Had really lovely stay on a hot & sunny weekend and the weather was lovely. The location was wonderful and beautiful, happy to return if ever in the area. Besides, it was close to the excellent restaurant with a menu that caters for an eclectic range of tastes and dietary needs, Paultons Park and Southampton, which is about 7 miles away.

Very beautiful Victorian building with freshly renovated rooms. Very nicely equipped and cosy. Nice pub in the house, also a good restaurant, also with possibility to sit outside. Great breakfast.

The service was first-class as we had expected. The breakfast deal was sensational with high quality food and raw poached egg, as example.

Great stay at a cozy pub!
The room was spacious with a super comfy bed. The food was great, especially breakfast-delicious bacon and fresh coffee! Only issue was the mattress was way too soft for my liking. Perfect place for exploring the forest and just chilling at the bar.

Tastefully furnished, recently renovated, large rooms. Pleasant atmosphere in the pub, with good selection & what we tried was super delicious!
We had a great time! You just have to know &;prepare yourself for the fact that the Mortimer Arms is located on a busy street & that the curtains do not darken completely. The breakfast is more for people who prefer English breakfast.

Excellent location to Peppa Pig World as it is situated right at the entrance walkway into theme park so we were able to walk in and out with children. Lovely rooms for the price. Excellent bar food at reasonable price. Lovely outside area for relaxing/eating with children in nice weather. Lots of other kids around for our 3yr old to play with. Would definately recommend it to family & friends.
No shower in our room only a bath with a detachable hose which may be suitable for men and children, but for a woman who needs a shower and to wash hair it was not! Suggest putting a bracket/attachment to wall so hose can be placed in.

Completely new renovated, big room, big bathroom (unfortunately the shower door was much too narrow), very good breakfast was served individually

Delicious food and friendly vibes
We spent 5 nights in a standard king room. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the cooked food was really nice. Just wish they sped up the service a bit. The bar area was cozy, but the shower was kinda outdated. Still, we had a pleasant stay overall.

enjoyable stay with room for improvement
The room was spacious and beautifully designed. The staff were genuinely attentive, ensuring that every request was met promptly.
The absence of a play area for children is a drawback.

Location was great - 10 minute walk to Paultons but we still ended up driving becuase we couldn't take a chance with the weather and also we didn't want to be walking back after a whole day at the theme park.
There was a screw up with the room. We requested a room with a lounge (for our 2 year old) but ended up with a superior room. What we were not prepared for was that the new room was over looking the car park and also the function room. Suffuce to say we had zero sleep until around 11pm on Friday and Saturday night. The free wireless internet was not working on the Friday and Sunday. At breakfast I had to ask for 7 bowls to be sent back for cleaning. This is the first time I have felt the need to write a review. The price tag definitely did not match the product. Suffice to say I was offered a discount but only after complaining. I suspect the hotel gets this all the time.
